"Judgement" is an interesting word to think about. We normally think of judgement as being in the negative. I sit for a maths exam and I am judged to do badly. Or the speed camera has judged me to be 5km/h over the speed limit. May be you have some interesting judgement stories you would like to share. But judgement is also positive. We see the positive side of judgement with Noah who because of his righteous and blameless life, he and his whole family were given safety in the ark. Why did Noah need an ark? An ark was needed because God was about to unleash judgement on the earth in the form of a flood which would cover the entire earth. If Noah was to survive the coming judgement he would need to be on the ark. Sadly there were only eight people on the ark in addition to the animals. Had no one else taken any notice of the message Noah was proclaiming that a flood was coming? Do people take any notice of the message of judgement today? God is going to destroy the heavens and the earth and establish a new heaven and the earth. Just as in the days of Noah there was only one way to escape and that was the ark. So to a time has come where Jesus has said He is the way. If we are to come to the Father, then that way is through Jesus Christ. Let us avail ourselves of the way to the Father while there is still time. Let us be thankful God has provided a way for us to come to Him.
